Shabby chic owl

I am so glad the weekend is here!
It has just been a horrible week work wise for me and let's just say I'm glad to be away from the office for a couple of days

I have been busy stitching on Love Heart (yes, I keep promising it: an update will be posted soon)
I have also made a cute little stuffed owl too...

I have been admiring these owls on several blogs!
They are soo adorable, I fell in love with them all
I've been browsing the net and found on Stubbornly Crafty a great pattern to make these cuties

So I gave it a go and tada!! It was easy and fun to make
Although, I've cheated as my sewing machine skills to stitch in circle are non-existent
I've used double sided tape for eyes, beak and wings. I'm so chuffed with the end result!!!
I didn't stitch the feet (I wasn't feeling that brave)
The back is the same fabric as the wings and I've used a mix of fabric & felt

Off to make pancakes for this evening's tea and stitch a little bit too of course

Happy Stitching!
Mii x

  8. I know this wonderful feeling when a horrible week comes to its end and the weekend starts - it's quite simply bliss ... and you started your weekend in a great way. Such a cute little owl, and there's nothing cheated on it, I think, as there are a lot of ways how to create such a little beauty.
