Back in time...

Here is a non-stitching post!!

A few days ago we went for a family Medieval day out at Warwick Castle
Despite being busy with other holiday makers & unwanted wasps we had a great day out!

Visit was complete with jousting...
Apparently the King wasn't impressed with the presence of a French person in the audience...

A walk on the ramparts & towers
(more than 530 steps apparently!)
as well as a viewing of the state rooms in the main castle

A bit of sword combat...

Some lovely falconery display!
My camera decided to have a fit when Ernie the owl made an appearance
So we will have to do with a HUGE sea eagle...

And finally the arming of the trebuchet with a fireball
Which I couldn't get on camera as it was too fast...

Happy Stitching!
Ingrid x

    1. :D Yes, it was a really big bird... I wouldn't want to mess up with him.
The chap told us that once he flew away... The police called them a few hours later: it was found on the M4 enjoying a "squashed" rabbit... Apparently they had to close the motorway!!
