Let it snow - Barbara Ana Designs

Here is my latest finish!

Design is called Let is snow and is from Barbara Ana Designs
This is a free pattern, and is available here

I have used a 28ct Zweigart evenweave Brittney Pearl Grey fabric
and stitched mine 2 over 2 using my own choice of DMC threads.
I've finished it as a little ornament & used clear beads from my stash

Cute isn't it?
I guess the count down to Christmas has started!!

Happy Stitching!
Mii

  20. Hi Mii!
I was wondering if you knew great tutorials for beginners who want to make ornaments like those. But because I don't have a sewing machine, I'll have to stitch by hand…Does that make a difference?
    P.S.
    Thats über cutte

    1. Hi! I'm sorry I couldn't find any tuto. Note you don't need any sewing machine for this type of finish :) After you've stitched your design, "frame" it by doing backstitch. Duplicate this frame for the reverse of your ornament. The assembling of the front & back is the same as for a biscornu but you also add a little bead. Look at how to make biscornu on the web & I'm sure you'll understand the technique ;) Give it a go, it's simple!

    2. Hmm, I'll have to look into the biscornu technique when I have the time…Thank you for the tip :))
