Teaching is a work of heart - Lizzie Kate

Would you believe?
It's me again!
I have been quite productive these past few days, haven't I??

oOo

I have worked on another snippet.
This time it was Teaching is a work of heart from Lizzie Kate
Yes, I know, it's another Lizzie Kate design... I just love them!
I have stitched this one on Zweigart Britney evenweave, olive colour, 28 ct
I used all the preconized DMC threads & only one overdyed floss from Sampler Threads
because it's the only one I had available in my boxes

I have finished this one as yet another little ornament
using gingham ribbon & a little apple shaped button
I also used the same ribbon for the trim on the edge of the ornament.
A close up...

Here is the back.
As you can see, I have been a little adventurous :)
I did some felt appliqué using chain stitch!!

A little close up...
Doesn't it look sweet??
I found a cute apple template on internet and voila...

Well, let's hope tadpole's teacher likes it.
This is a school end of year gift for her, just to say thank you.
I also made sure to include a little box of chocolates
and tadpole signed a card too
Mrs J is apparently an A+ teacher ☺

Happy Stitching!!
Mii

  6. Perfect end-of-year gift! Unfortunately we have been less than impressed with Iris's teacher this year so won't be sending out any gifts. :0( We are hopeful for next year! :0)

    1. Oh dear! I can understand. Last year's teacher was nice but it really didn't work out with my son... It was my last chance to spoil a teacher as next year he will be in year 6... with a male teacher! Should be interesting but he is happy with this. I'm the sad one, I don't think Mr P will appreciate cross stitch gift :(

  37. Wow, Mii, it's gorgeous! "Teaching is a work of heart" - I fully agree with it. And I know what I'm saying - I'm a teacher myself! I fell in love with this wonderful design from the start. Haven't known it existed at all, and now I want to stitch it myself. I hope I'll be lucky enough to find the chart somewhere...
