Ladybug & Daisy - Ajisai Designs

Hello peeps!!

Thought I'd do a quick post to share with you my latest acquisition :)

While browsing the web (as you do when you're looking for stash!),
I've discovered an extremely talented lady.

Valentina Sardu

She specialises mainly in blackwork art...
but I have found she also do mix of blackwork & cross stitch!!

Of course, as I have never tried blackwork
I found this was a great opportunity to do a little bit of shopping
and try something new :)

Here it is,
Ladybug & Daisy

What do you think?
Isn't it just lovely?!

Well all I have to do now
is get some fabric to start this beauty.

Didn't mean to gloat about my latest stash purchase,
thought you'd like to know about this fabulous website :)

Toodles,
Mii

    1. Thank you! So glad there is someone else who've heard of Ajisai Designs :)
They are all beautiful charts and it was quite difficult to choose!
There also was some red cardinal birds... but I thought it best to purchase one chart first, give it a go and come back to it for more later :D
Slightly dreading the actual blackwork as it is so neat & detailed but I'll give it a go.
Better finish all them WIPs first though!

  10. I'm not a big fan of blackwork but... Katie's dragon changed my opinion a bit and this has changed it a bit more! I think it's lovely and am eagerly awaiting your first progress picture (no pressure!) I'm now off to look at her website ..... :)

    1. This is exactly how I felt!! Katie's beautiful work really made me think twice about blackwork :) I have the fabric & trying to find out which black thread would be best to use but I think I'll stick with good old 310 :) I have to finish a project I'm working on & then I'll start it along with the March JEC SAL. I can alternate if I get bored...
