News... finally!

Hello Peeps!

Apologies for the little hiatus.
I was on a well deserved Summer break.

OoO

I haven't stitched while away but
I have been busy working on various projects
before my break and since I came back.

I am still stitching away on my Halloween mail art piece.
It is a slow process but I'm pleased to say it's starting to come along nicely.
No update to share as it is all secret stitching for now

OoO

I have also been stitching on two little Halloween pieces.
These are surprises too, so cannot share anything with you yet...

OoO

I have put a few more crosses on the birth sampler for my lil' sis
This is called Little One & is a kit from Dimensions

Here is how it will look when finished...

And here is where I am at the moment...

OoO

What else?
Oh yes, I have made sure to buy the latest issues of TWOCS...

You must have seen the HAED chart called
Moon Hare from artist Suzanne Gyseman

Isn't this chart fantastic? It is from an acrylic painting!

As you know, I'm not overly mad for these HAED insane designs.
I have tried in the past to work on their beautiful charts & failed miserably.

What's different this time? Well, I don't know to be honest!
Could it be because it is a reasonably small design?
Could it be because it is to be stitched on 14ct?
Or could it be because the design & colours are so so tempting??

Let's not think to much about this & come to the fact that I am all kited up & raring to go!

Here is my update after 2 sessions.
I am working on the left upper page.
Can you see one of the ear starting to appear?

This is the whole width of the page and I must have used
already 15 colours...

Stitched on 14ct DMC magic white aida fabric,
using preconized DMC colours.

OoO

I still find HAED so intimidating.
No doubt I will alternate this piece with all my other WIPS,
but for the moment I'm enjoying it & can hardly put it down!

Toodles,
Mii

  31. Welcome back! Nice to read your blog again. I have Moon Hare in my stash too. I don't think it's as big as a usual HAED and it looks like there isn't too much confetti but enough colour changes for interest. It's beautiful and I hope you enjoy stitching it.
Your birth sampler is very pretty, the colours are brighter on your WIP photo and it's perfect for a sweet new baby.
