Moon Hare - HAED

Hello Peeps!!

Just thought I'd show you a quick update of the project
I have been working on for the past 2 weeks.

Moon Hare
from HAED

Stitched on white 14ct magic DMC aida fabric
2 over 1, with all charted DMC colours

This is where I have stopped.
Will have to put it away for now and work back
on my Halloween mail art project

This is the upper left page in all its width & length
Who would have thought there was soooo many hues of blues & purples??
One ear is partly done & the other is slowly appearing.

There is enough confetti on this project, believe me, I don't think
I'd be able to cope with much more :)

I still love this & can't wait to go back on it in the next few month

Toodles,
Mii

Some parts of the chart are blocks of colours but others... Let's just say the back of this project will not look anywhere as pretty as the front :)

  18. You made some nice progress on this piece. I often wonder about all the different shades of a colour when I stitch on a very detailed pattern. And it's fun to see them all come together so nicely.

    1. Yes, I am amazed how DMC have so many blues & purples.... for some of them, I found it quite difficult to see the different to be honest :)

  22. Aaahhh all those lovely shades of blue! It must be a wonderful piece to work on because of them. ;) I am sorely lacking in my DMC blue collection! Too many pieces use pink (runs away from Vickie :D). All the confetti will be worth it when all the details pop out~

I had fun swapping DMC colours every few crosses :)

  23. It's looking great. It's certainly a lovely design. I really don't like computer generated designs like this because of the confetti. I like to find a rhythm stitching the colours as they flow in the natural folds and waves of fabric, fur or skin. But I do enjoy watching other people stitch them!

    1. I can understand no everyone will like working on a HAED design.
Recently, I have decided to challenge myself & make at least one thing on other tempting crafts/styles. I did so well with my little crochet baby blanket :) Now, I want to stitch 1 HAED. So far, I am thoroughly enjoying it.... it has to be said it is far from the usual huge charts that are typical from this company!

It is sadly on hold for now as I have commitments on other projects to do but I am looking forward to work back on it.
