Comfort - Little House Needleworks

Hello Peeps!

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend... stitching!!

I have a small finish to share with you.
It has been left in my little basket for a few days now as I still have to make a small pincushion with it.

This is Comfort from

and was kindly gifted to me by Kim
and came with all cottons

Stitched on 14ct Zweigart aida white fabric
Using 2 strands of Crescent Colours cotton.

I have run out of the Poblano Pepper colour (green) and bought a new skein.
Can you see the change in batch colour?

I am happy to pass on this chart for someone else to stitch.
It will come with all threads.

If you are a follower and would like to stitch it, please tell me so in your comment.
If there are more than one person interested, I will randomly pick a name.
Winner will be announced on the 1st May.

Off to work on a bigger project
Alice in Wonderland from Bothy Threads...
Which will be the subject of a future post!

For the Stitched Envelope Swap,
a few of you have asked questions.
Please check out my previous post for replies.

A little exchange anyone??

I have been admiring these little swaps taking place on various blogs I follow
and I have now decided to give it a go...
A little cross stitched envelope exchange!!
Source: Internet
How about that?
You have to stitch a design and finish it as an envelope.
Send it along with a little card and little goodies such as floss, ribbon or buttons
Nothing big, as it's got to fit in the envelope you've made :)

Various tutorials are available on the French www, just type "enveloppe brodée tuto"
No theme but be ready to post worldwide.
No idea if any of you would be interested,
for those of you brave enough, please leave a comment stating you wish to take part

(Apologies, I will only accept people who have an active blog!!)

You have until the 1st May to enter.
Let's make sure, once you know your partner,
your envelope is sent before the 1st July

Some of you have asked if we have to send the envelope as it is by just affixing stamps or if we can put it in an envelope for safe/clean traveling purpose.
Well, I don't know about you but stitching takes a long time and I want my piece to
a/ reach the recipient and
b/ still look good
so I personally won't be taking any risks and will place my stitched envelope in an envelope
- I know, sounds a bit silly - but I'd rather be safe than sorry
So, I leave it to the participants to do it the way they'd prefer, it's entirely up to you :)

Meeting up new friends...

Good afternoon dear readers!
I am still around and still stitching away on various projects.
That will be for another post.
Last weekend I was really lucky to meet up with
2 lovely blogging ladies!!
They travelled all the way to Shropshire just so that we could spend a weekend together
of stitching, chatting & stashing
I met Justine from Justine's Cross Stitch and
Rachel from Ten Hour Stitcher
I was quite nervous but now wonder why.
We just got on so well together, it felt like we already knew each other
We spent the day in Wales at the Nimble Thimble.
We swapped goodies, talked, eat, talked more, stashed a bit and talked a bit more
This is what I got from Rachel
Some beads, buttons, needle minder, key ring and a jar bursting with masses of colourful ribbons!
Also been gifted with the lovely friendship chart from My Big Toe
This is what I have received from Justine
A beautiful handmade zipped pouch with thread catcher
(I haven't stopped using these since I got them!)
and some bits and pieces: hand cream, tissues, scissor, needles and a very appropriate drink coaster :)

Thank you again ladies for these wonderful gifts, they will sure be treasured!
I also gifted them with some goodies but have no pictures,
so you'll have to hop on to their blogs to find out more!
There was honestly more chatting than stitching during the weekend
but it didn't matter, we truly had a great time.
Next thing we know it was time to go back our separate ways...
Here is to look forward to another meet up with my new friends :)
