CJC 2016 #15

Hello Peeps!

Well I've done it!
Today is my last CJC post :)

CJC 2016 #15 is

Be Kind To Animals - Green series

This is how it will look when finished

And this is my tiny start...
- Note today I am treating you to a daylight blurry picture -

Stitched on Sew It All 16 count Aida fabric
Cloud clay colour

2 over 1 using DMC threads
Stitching time so far: 1hr 25mn

Not impressed with my start so far.
The B is in one colour & the E & K in an other,
I bet you didn't notice!
Well, that's why I'm not too happy with it.
Next time I work on it, I might unpick and start with a more vibrant choice.

oOoOo

This is where the CJC 2016 stops for Mii.
I am really glad I took part,
as I have thoroughly enjoyed stitching on all my choices.
However, it is definitely a one off.
I have found it too hard to not be able to carry on stitching on my projects &
very frustrating keeping up with the daily posts!

I want to thank all the readers who have come
back everyday and cheered me along by leaving regular comments.
It was really appreciated!

My hat off to all of you who will be carrying on until the end of the month... or longer.
I am just happy to go back to my stitching routine.

Toodles,
Mii

  1. Yay! Congratulations! 15 new starts in 15 days! I know that certain aspects of the CJC have not been easy for you but you stuck with it and deserve a big pat on the back (or bar of chocolate if you prefer!). Now you can return to stitching what you want when you want with no pressure. I shall miss your daily posts but will enjoy seeing a pile of finishes over the next few months. I wonder which will be first? :)

  4. Well done on your 15 starts. Sometimes you have to try these challenges, even if you find that the different routine doesn't really suit you. At least you know you have given it a try.

    1. Yes, that is exactly how I feel. I wanted to give it a go last year but decided against it. Now I know ;)

  5. Congrats on getting through all 15! It definitely can be a slog. There are some that call me back and I start a new one and work on another in the same day. Enjoy finishing up the rest of your starts this year!

  23. Absolutely great - you did it! Whenever I was joining a Crazy Challenge I was doing it on my own pace. I just can't put a project down after one day of stitching. After two, yes, OK, that's doable. Now I'm looking forward to seeing your projects getting finished.

  24. Uhuuuu! 15! You've done it! Congrats sweetie :)
Love this choice, another of my favorites ;)
Well.. not a fun experience? I think I wouldn't be able to do it either, never tried but I'm sure it would feel very stressing and no fun... not for me either. But kudos for you, you were brave to try, that was a big effort but it was worth the experience, I'm sure. Now you can enjoy your stitching and finish all your choices, one at the time and which one you prefer :)

I can see that the e and k are slightly more olive green than the B but I agree, the contrast needs to be greater.

  39. Well done, Ingrid, It is a very hard challenge. I have failed it every year I have attempted it - lol! This year I am trying a new tactic (stolen from my dear friend, Brigitte) of 31 starts which need to be finished before the year is out - hopefully this is an achievable aim for me. Congratulations on sticking with it. xxx
