Poussière De Fée - Nimuë

Hello Peeps!

I have been busy working on something new these past few days
Let's have a look...

Poussière De Fée (Fairy Dust)
From Nimuë

My model was stitched on 16 count Aida fabric
from my favourite supplier Sew It All
Cabbage colour

Worked 1 over 1, using a mix of DMC & Kreinik threads

The instructions requested the use of mohair thread,
which after a few crosses, I found awful to use and not pretty to look at,
so I instead opted to use Kreinik metallic

Afterall, fairies and sparkles are a perfect match!

Finished of pinkeep style with
a first and poor attempt at twisted ribbon

Ooops!
I have just noticed all my pictures are showing
a tiny piece of turquoise thread...
(from the piece of fabric I have used on the reverse)

Started on the 26th May 2016 and
finished on the 3rd June 2016

Toodles,
Mii

  1. This is such a beautiful design! My daughter loves fairies (she did her dissertation on fairies and fairy tales) so this would be perfect for her....can you tell me the name of the chart and designer? I can feel a spending spree coming on :)

    1. Thank you!
Mohair has a fluffy cloud effect but I found it too bulky for the design.
Nimue is French and a few of their charts are available on Sew And So website, check it out, there are so very pretty ones!

I have kept all the DMC colour but just changed the mohair thread for Kreinik. That was the best idea I had :D
