Under the sea SAL - Durene Jones (Part 3)

Hello Peeps! I am back again with another small post about the Under the sea SAL and this time I am on track & up to date with it all. A few little crosses later and part 3 is done! Still stitched on 16 count Aida fabric from Sew It All, ocean colour DMC threads

A focus on that funny looking sparkly fish... Right, what to stitch next? I am quite tempted with a cheeky small new start, I better go & have a look in my stash, to see what takes my fancy. See you soon with more little crosses, Toodles, Mii

And the whole project so far.. Just when I thought I was doing so well with the catching up, part 4 landed in my inbox a bit earlier than planned. It was a nice surprise of course, so better go back to my needles! oOoOo

Do more of what makes you happy - Abby Rose Designs

Hello Peeps, Well in between all those small monthly projects that I seem to be focusing on this year, I do try to find time here and there to work on other pieces... And so, I finally manage to come round to blogging about this small finish I did a little while ago Do more of what makes you happy From Abby Rose Designs

Apologies with my pictures, the sun was out in force at the time and unfortunately made them a bit too bright & shiny :)
A sweet & quick design, very much in tone with the Lizzie Kate style Worked on Zweigart cotton evenweave, 32 count Brittney, granite colour 2 over 2 using listed DMC threads

Yet to be finished into something - That is when "stitching" bug decides to leave some room/inspiration for "finishing" bug to strike! -

If you'd like a chance to stitch this pattern, please say so in your comment.
I am giving away the original chart to one lucky stitcher.
Happy to post worldwide too!

Winner will be announced in my next post!

Under the sea SAL - Durene Jones (Part 1)

Hello peeps! Despite all my best efforts in resisting the temptation, I have recently joined the Under the sea SAL available at Lakeside Needlecraft This is a year long project consisting of 12 monthly parts exclusively designed by Durene Jones The end design will represent a full under the sea picture Of course, I am a bit behind at the moment as the 3rd part has been released a few days ago, but I should be able to catch up in no time! So here is my first part, Mr Octopus! I have decided to stitch the whole SAL on 16 count Aida fabric from Sew It All, Ocean colour Design worked 2 over 1 using the recommended DMC threads
So much details & colour changes, Mr Octopus has been so much fun to stitch!
See you soon for part 2! Toodles, Mii

March Yearbook - Lizzie Kate

Good afternoon Peeps,

Another small update on my other monthly
on going project for this year

March Yearbook
from Lizzie Kate

Worked on 16 count Aida fabric from Sew it all
Linen colour

2 over 1 using DMC threads

Here how they look all together!
With a cheeky sneak peak of next month too...

Each monthly designs also come with their own charm.
I have decided to not add them for now.

As I am stitching them all together,
I am slightly worried the finished piece will look a bit to "bling-y" to my liking.

I will have to think about that again in December, when finished!

Fairy March - Lili of the valley

Hello Peeps,
Can you believe it? March is already here!
Spring is definitely in the air & we should soon enjoy some nice weather
New month means new fairy finish to share with you all.
This one is Easter themed and look out of place for now
as we won't be celebrating Easter until April... but still, she does look so cute! Fairy March Lili of the valley Stitched on 32 count Murano fabric from The Crafty Kitten, Halloween Mist colour Worked 2 over 2 using recommended DMC threads I am so pleased at how well the fabric colours match this sweet design
Who thought Halloween colours would be a good match for an Easter design?! No finishing ideas yet for this one but I have certainly had fun stitching her, which for me is the most important.

Finishing bug seems to have gone away for now &
I am in no mood to go & look for it.
Now looking forward to the April one, it is one of my few favourite is the fairy series.
Toodles, Mii
